The POUNDING STONE, according to R. Abba bar Memel, is [what is called in Aramaic] 'crusher'.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Apparently a stone or piece of cement with a hollow for fixing the pounder in. ');"><sup>4</sup></span> The 'MAIDENS', according to R.
